Inspired by the passion and idealistic devotion of love depicted in the Persian poet Nizami’s ‘Leili va Majnoon’. A love which, in its madness, purifies the soul, giving birth to nobility and attaining the Sufi ideal of a higher spiritual consciousness. The silky accords of saffron, patchouli and rose, with the depth of labdanum and lavender, represent the simultaneous pain and bliss of love.
