توقّف المشهد. تُسخَّن بقايا الجمر، بينما تحترق ببطء شديد بضع قطع من خشب العود. أمام أعيننا يحدث تحوّل خشبٍ استثنائي يكشف عن كل عمقه. ومع ذلك، فهذه ليست سوى رؤية. فقد اختار خبير العطور Alberto Morillas عدم استخدام الجوهر الطبيعي للخشب الشهير، بل تمثيل ذاكرته العطرية.
وهكذا يتم إبراز المشاعر التي تثيرها ذكرى الجمر المتوهّج الذي يتحول إلى لون قرمزي، والدخان العطري الرقيق الذي يلتفّ في الهواء ليعطّر أجسادنا وأقمشتنا وبشرتنا في آنٍ واحد.
في هذه الذاكرة الخشبية، يُعدّ خشب الأرز الألاسكي البطل بلا منازع. ونادرًا ما يُستخدم في صناعة العطور، إذ يكشف بلطف عن لمسات من الجلد والبخور. وينتعش بمزيج من الكزبرة والبرغموت، بينما يشتعل مع خشب الكادي. ومع طابعه المتوهّج والقوي، يصبح أكثر نعومة عند امتزاجه بالنفحات الزهرية من الورد والسوسن. وفي النهاية يتحوّل هذا الأثر إلى عبيرٍ عالقٍ يترك وراءه مسارًا عطريًا مميزًا.

Freeze frame. Heated by the embers, a few pieces of oud burn very slowly. In front of our eyes, the metamorphosis of an extraordinary wood which reveals all its depth. Nevertheless, this is only a vision. Master perfumer Alberto Morillas chose not to use the natural essence of the famous wood, while rather representing its olfactory memory. The emotions evoked by the memory of the embers that turn crimson, the fine volutes perfuming at once our body, the fabrics and our skin are therefore highlighted.
In this woody memory, the Alaskan cedar is the undisputed protagonist. Rarely used in perfumery, it gently reveals nuances of leather and incense. Refreshed by coriander and bergamot, it burns with cade wood. Incandescent and radical, it becomes rounder in contact with the floral notes of rose and iris. And the scroll finally becomes a scented trail.
