Description
Rose & Cuir, authored by the legendary minimalist Jean-Claude Ellena, is a brilliant exploration of structural duality, famously inspired by the quiet, restrained storm of the Mistral wind. The fragrance operates as a meticulous study in profound contrasts, effectively pitting the delicate, sensual, and luminous vulnerability of the @queen of flowers@ against a sleek, aggressively animalic leather material. Ellena’s exceptionally streamlined and highly edited architecture introduces a hyper-pure, clarified rose at the top, vivified and given a sharp, green, and slightly fruity edge through the integration of exceptional extracts of Timut pepper, blackcurrant, and bourbon geranium. As this bright, cold introduction recedes, the fragrance gradually transitions into a dark, highly mysterious leather blend. This foundational leather accord is deliberately patinated with robust vetiver essence to fiercely accentuate the earthy, grounding effects of the composition.
