العقيق الأحمر يتميز بلونه الأحمر العميق الذي يتوهج من داخل الحجر، وعندما تلامسه أشعة الشمس يشتعل لونه وكأنه نار متقدة. ينحدر عقيق الألمنْدين من منطقة البوسفور، الحد الجنوبي الفاصل بين قارتي آسيا وأوروبا، وقد سُمّي نسبة إلى مدينة ألاباندا في الأناضول. كما يُقال إنه الحجر الذي يضيء السماء الرابعة في القرآن.
إنه حجر كريم يحتاج إلى صقل ليكشف عن نوره الداخلي، وهي عملية تشبه مسيرة الإنسان المستمرة في التعلم وتطوير الذات، والتي تقودنا إلى اكتشاف حقيقتنا وتنمية مواهبنا. بلونه الأرجواني الأحمر العميق، يرمز هذا الحجر إلى الشغف والجرأة، وعند ارتدائه يصبح كأنه تعويذة ترمز إلى المغامرة والسعي نحو الحب.

The Red Garnet: an intense red colour glows from within this stone and when the sunlight hits it the colour ignites, as if on fire. Originally from the Bosphorus, the southern limit between the Asian and European continents, the Almandine garnet – named after the Anatolian town, Alabanda – is also the stone that lights the fourth heaven in the Quran.
