Herbaceous hedonism is the essential vibe of Angelic by Boadicea the Victorious, the holy garden and apple tree surrounded by musky sage and the green spiciness of cardamom. But oh, the serpent is a sensual interruption, verdant and paper-dry, wrapping around velveteen damask roses. There is a beguiling fizziness as Angelic opens, reminiscent of the driest of ciders.
The centrepiece of Angelic is heavenly roses scattered across woods, enhanced by an intriguing papyrus note that gives the perfume a delicate dry fungal wood facet and rye. The rose becomes petrolic and musky as base notes of vetiver, ambered woods, patchouli rise, holding the rosy garden ambiance in nebulous stasis. Others will be drawn to you the rose, they the bees searching for pollen.
